Long-term travel problems

When overseas customers come to Japan for sightseeing, especially those from Europe, take longer to travel, and the air ticket becomes higher accordingly. So, the period of staying in Japan on a single trip will be very long.

 

Most of the customers from Europe traveled in Japan for about 2 to 3 weeks.

 

Even if the customers feel inconvenient if they travel for one or two nights, it doesn’t matter much. However, there are the following problems when traveling for a long time.

As customers stay longer, accommodation and transportation costs will increase accordingly.

 

As a result, many customers saved money on food and souvenirs.

You may wonder if the staff has to manage cutomers physical condition. However, managing customers’ physical condition is also important.

 

Eating out continues during the trip.

 

So there was many customers who get sick from long-term fatigue and bad eating habits.

 

It will definitely affect the evaluation of customers review, as poor health does not end with their personal problems.

 

When we are tired, we will end up with an unfriendly look.

And if we talk to someone unfriendly, we won’t be happy.

Since it’s not fun, the evaluation goes down.

 

It may seem unreasonable, but it can’t be helped.

 

So, if you notice that customers are in a bad condition, let us support them so that they can be in good health.

 

We can also tell them where to improve their health, such as a juice stand.

 

Laundry

Laundry space is necessary for overseas customers

Of those who travel for long periods of time, there are few people who have all their clothes on their suitcases.

 

Isn’t it about one week at most?

 

So customers have to wash and dry somewhere.

 

If customers who are accustomed to traveling, socks, underwear, T-shirts, etc. are washed in the wash basin of the inn and dried in the guest room. However, customers would like to use a washing machine and a dryer if their trip is long.

 

Even if there is a coin laundry in the inn, the laundry cost is high, it is already used by other customers, or customers can not go out while washing, so it will be difficult to use it because the time to sightseeing is reduced.

 

It would be nice if it was fully automatic from washing to drying while customers were sleeping, but it would be annoying because other customers could not use it while they were sleeping. 

 

Service that was well received

At the inn I was running, I received money on the honor system, not a laundromat.

 

At that time, customers who stayed for more than 2 nights were free to use the washing machine and dryer.

 

It wasn’t a great washing machine, but nobody complains because it’s free.

 

And even when I received money from  customers, I was given the impression of being a kind inn if I told them that there were such benefits.

 

The additional cost customers pay at the inn will leave an expensive impression, so the cheaper the laundry costs, the better.

 

Also, on rainy days, I rented a shoe dryer for free and placed additional towels in the lobby. Rainy days may be a disappointing day for tourists, but this rainy day countermeasure is very popular and we received a review with a perfect score.

 

Laundry cafe that solves various problems

If we want to make a private inn with the concept that overseas customers can stay comfortably even for a long period of time, an inn with a laundromat in cafe will be pleased.

 

Overseas customers  can often make friends at their destination.

 

Sometimes guests and non-guests are excited at the inn lounge. I think that thay are enjoying it.

 

However, some customers may become uncomfortable if the lobby becomes too busy.

 

If there is a laundromat cafe in the inn, put a free computer or travel information book in the cafe, customers check the travel information while having tea in the cafe, wait for the laundry to dry while exchanging information with other travelers.

 

Furthermore, if there is such the place, customers will recognize the place as part of the guest room and the impression of the inn will be spacious.
