Good intentions led to low ratings

When I started running my own inn, I wondered what kind of reviews other inns were written by customers, and I often read them all night.

 

After reading the vast number of reviews, I knew the characteristics of the services that the evaluation is going down.

 

For example, a business hotel that offers a free breakfast.

 

Despite being offered free of charge to make customers happy, the customer wrote: ” I thought it would be nice to have fruit ” minus one point.

 

When providing incomplete quality service even if they are offered free of charge, it’s just a place where they can make negative reviews easily.

 

However, customers are not maliciously writing these reviews.

 

The customer just thinks, ” This way, it will get better “.

 

Incomplete quality services are often born from kindness of the inn owner. Unfortunately, even if it’s free, it’s a target for evaluation.

 

Examples of systems that prevent low rating

There are inns that adopt a system that I think is good as a measure against negative review.

 

The inn was in front of the station and the reception was not very large, but there wasn’t unnecessary things.

 

And customers  who booked a plan with breakfast were given a meal voucher at the adjacent major cafe restaurant or Japanese restaurant.

 

Of course, it is cheaper than eating at the restaurant as a regular customer.

 

What makes this system so good is that customers can think about whether the food is delicious and the reputation of the restaurant staff separately from the inn.

 

And customers can choose from two types of restaurants.

 

Even if we provide free meals with incomplete quality, we need a place to serve, fixtures, staff, and cooks. This system is outsourced and can be appreciated by customers.

 

However, it is necessary for the customer to understand why it was outsourced ( Reason that there is no space to eat in the inn facility. ). And, if the inn is in the suburbs, a major restaurant group may not enter the business.

 

Although, if you really can afford the inn’s management system and provide confident food and place, customers will be more pleased to serve meals at the breakfast venue.

 

There is no need to move around, and the breakfast buffet at the hotel is exciting when we are traveling.
