In the guest house that I operated, all the guest rooms were shared rooms, so I had to enter to clean up the rooms where guests staying overnight.

 

So I was able to find out how customers use the rooms.

 

So what I found was that customers left things to use where they could be placed.

 

When staying overnight in a private room, if customers ask to clean the room, there are many customers who put the personal items in the room in a suitcase beforehand because they do not want to get in the way of cleaning or see the personal items by the staff.

 

However, while staying the inn, customers try to keep their personal belongings in a place where they can place them as possible as they can.

 

The first impression of the guest room is important

After checking in and entering the room, personal items will be placed on the desk and on the washbasin.

 

The place where personal belongings are placed may not always be beautiful, but that’s fine.

 

Customers pay the accommodation fee and stay, so it is up to customers how they use the room (Limited to the usage described in the accommodation agreement).

 

The important point is that if customers use their room in a messy way, they won’t write a bad review.

 

On the other hand, the customer who use the room cleanly tend to have strict ratings.

 

It doesn’t matter how customers use the room, it’s important how they feel when they first enter the room.

 

When customers first enter the room, try to avoid putting anything on the desk or table to make it look as beautiful as possible.

 

The more flyers and descriptions, the more dirty it looks.

 

Effective use of closets

Now, how do customers use the closet?

 

Probably nothing other than clothes, shoes and suitcases should be stored.

 

This is because if we put small items such as rings and watches in a dark closet, we may lose them.

 

So even if there are shelves in the closet, if the lighting is dark, customers will not be able to use it.

 

If there is little space on the desk, make a shelf in the closet and brighten the closet so that customers can use it.

□ Customers want to use the desk as much as possible, so do not put anything on the desk as much as possible.
